We typically host a series of events over the year, currently we have no upcoming events but here are the highlights from our most recent workshop with Tyran Parke and Rachael Beck in late 2019.
Masterclass with the stars
For many, they do not want the lead role but want to find as much value as they can in contributing to the ensemble. These classes were practical and encouraged everyone to explore at their own level and interest while being supported by those with live experience in how to enhance your experience of theatre at any level.
Rachael and Tyran developed practical skills in stage craft, harnessing the audition process, understanding texts, dance and picking up choreography quickly and how to make the most of an ensemble role without pulling focus.
Rachael, has had various lead roles in shows as diverse as 'Belle' in Beauty and the Beast and recently 'Charity' in Barnum in Melbourne. Tyran, who directed Barnum is an actor and currently the head of Musical Theatre at Victorian College of the Arts. They are both good friends with Metropolitan Players and look forward to similar workshops in the future.
