The Musical

Civic Theatre Newcastle

The iconic hit musical has more glitter than ever, featuring a dazzling array of incredible costumes, headdresses and a non-stop parade of dance-floor classics including 'It's Raining Men', 'I Will Survive', 'I Love The Nightlife', 'Finally', and many more.
Based on the Oscar-winning film, 'Priscilla' is the hilarious adventure of three friends (two drag queens and a transgender woman), who contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. As they head west from Sydney aboard their battered bus, Priscilla, the three friends come to the forefront of a comedy of errors, encountering a number of strange characters, as well as incidents of homophobia, while widening comfort zones and finding new horizons. Their epic journey is a heart-warming story of self-discovery, sassiness and acceptance.
